Sharika Nealy’s grandparents had farmed the land as sharecroppers. She herself grew up among chickens and cows in rural Heath Springs, South Carolina. Years later, as an adult, she noticed that bankers and realtors always spoke directly to her husband during transactions, ignoring her, as if being a stay-at-home mom made her less of a decision maker.

She didn’t like feeling ‘invisible,’ and didn’t think anyone should be treated that way. With her mother’s encouragement, Sharika pursued a career in real estate. After weathering life’s struggles, including a marriage separation and the loss of her mom, she passed her state licensing exam on the anniversary of her mother’s death.

Back with her husband, Sharika created Nealy Homes on the idea that real estate isn’t just a ‘transaction.’ It’s about offering people a chance to be taken seriously as they pursue their life goals, regardless of their race, age, gender, marital status, or lifestyle. As proof that everyone has potential, no matter where they came from, Sharika purchased the land her grandparents once farmed, for development as a subdivision.

A Transaction Coordinator (TC) will ensure that your paperwork and disclosures are complete, and theyaccurately outline expectations for all parties.

A Closing Coordinator will work with you and attorneys, home inspectors, lenders, etc., and will ensure all closing documents are compliant.

A Marketing Director will develop a marketing plan for selling your home, and also keep buyers, investors and sellers informed of upcoming events.

Showing Agents will show you available homes that you’d like to visit. A Pre-Approval letter or proof of funds are required to schedule showings.

Nealy Homes works to help build strong communities, by regularly contributing to the great organizations, events and schools in the areas that she serves.

The non-profit that Sharika founded, ‘Love Covers All,’ provides long-stem roses and goodie bags to cancer patients each year on the anniversary of her mom’s death.
